Hi, everyone!

It has been a while since we posted an episode. I’m sure many of you thought The MannersCast had shut it’s doors!! However, we recently had some activity on The MannersCast Facebook page where some folks requested a Christmas Special– and it was too good of a suggestion to pass up!
This episode is an hour and 47 minutes (1:47:00!!) of Christmas Cheer. We had a fun time recording with folks in our live chat, and we covered a TON of topics. If you have any thoughts or comments, leave them here or head over to the Facebook page so you can leave them on The MannersCast Wall.
Here are many of the links referenced in this episode:
Merry Christmas– and stick around for the “after show”!

If you’re just now finding The MannersCast, listen to The MannersCast from Episode 1. The podcasts build on themselves with vocabulary and an active listener base. Plus, it’s lots of content for a long drive or commute!
In Episode 119 we hear from Listener Art about Family Manners and Loaning Money to Family, a manners success story, and an update on Doug and Julia. This one was a tad emotional for me as it is the final episode of a five year run!
Thank you to all who supported The MannersCast over the years and made the podcast what it was. The interactions with our listeners is what has made The MannersCast so enjoyable for Colin, Derek, Blair, and me. I consider many of you to be friends and am honored to have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful and supportive folks from around the globe. Feel free to leave any thoughts with this post.
I’m now @AETrent on Twitter. Please keep in touch through Twitter and mannerscast@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Trent

Listener Anne responds to The MannersCast Challenge and that brings us to a discussion of restaurant seating manners. You are certain to learn something about yourself when we talk about big groups at restaurants. Listener Katy also sends in her Report!

Well, it looks like we’re going to keep creating content. It might not be MannersCast but it’s at least Trent and Colin talking about stuff that means a lot to them!
With a couple of cool, new (and very different) Sci Fi movies out in 2011, we wanted to catch up with each other and talk movies again! Source Code and HANNA are the subjects of this podcast.

Well, it has been a while. Many apologies and all that– you’ll probably understand why I haven’t released this episode when you hear the first few minutes. Anywho, I think this is a funny episode and has my new favorite (maybe second favorite) MannersCastian name. That would be “Sherry Cinq” (Sherry V). I’m still laughing quietly to myself about that one.
Episode Notes:
Twitter in the News, dealing with an Unresponsive Vote, and tips on tipping. Trent talks about crowding in a swimming pool.

Mark from the UK sent us an Anti-Guide for Elevator Etiquette. Trent uses a range of terrible accents to convey this list. We also revisit the question of the Wedding Registry and take a look at how to respond to difficult situations in friends’ lives.
Stick around for the After-Show. You won’t want to miss Trent’s uncomfortable description of something from earlier in this episode.
LIFT ETIQUETTE from Listener Mark:
- When you arrive at the lift and there are some people waiting for the lift push to the front of the group and that way if the lift fills up you will be sure to not have to wait for the next lift. It is only fair that you get to go first because Read more »

Colin talks about his near death experience in an elevator, and Trent’s eyes are opened by a sneeze cloud. Should you take your cell phone on vacation or take a vacation from your cell phone? Babies can fly– just give them something to drink. Finally, we issue our first MannersCast Challenge.
